This post is a little late but two weeks ago Jack had his final day of three year old preschool. It was a really interesting year for us all but Jack really grew up a lot during this school year. When we went to orientation he was my two year old baby and now he is knocking on the door of four years old. It was not an easy year for him at school in some regards. He had trouble adjusting to being away from his Mommy but he did really well in class and it amazes me how much he has learned in his first year of school. The last day of school was bittersweet. It was sad to say goodbye to his first classmates and teachers and it is a little sad to me to see how fast he is growing up. We are very excited to start the next chapter though. When Jack goes back to four year old preschool in the fall he will have a year of experience under his belt and it will hopefully make it easier for him to adjust to the new schedule. We will also have a new baby in the house so it will be an exciting time all around! These pictures were forwarded to me by the Teaching Assistant from Jacks class, Miss Colleen, who was one of the people who made it possible for me to walk away from my crying baby every day knowing that he was in good hands and would have a great day even though it didn't feel like it in those moments! Jacks face in the first picture is excellent!

Gardening
Jack was kind enough to help me in the garden today. His handy work had him looking like quite a mess. He thought it was funny at first...
Hahaha, Mommy is going to have so much fun cleaning this up!
Then he caught sight of what he had done to himself...

Fun on the Swings
Before we even got to the swings we had this moment of greatness at home. We were eating dinner and Owen fell asleep sitting up in his chair with his fork in his hand. That is one tired guy!
We went over to Grandma and Grandpas after dinner/nap time and the boys got some time on the swings which is one of their favorite things!

On the Lake
We spent some of the weekend and yesterday evening at Grandma and Grandpa's enjoying the lake during this little heat wave. This gave the boys (all 3 of them) a chance to try out the new tube we bought this year as well. Here is Jack in his super cool wet suit before his first tube ride. Turns out if wasn't necessary since the new tube is so big they didn't even get wet!

Heading out. Jack looks unsure.
Getting started and loving it!
Owen woke up from a nap and wanted to join in the fun so they all jumped on the tube for another round.
Tubing fun!
Jack was finished but Owen wanted to keep going. Here is Daddy and Owen on the tube.
Owen looked like he was going to fall asleep no matter how fast they went. He is a daredevil!
Here are the boys back at Grandma and Grandpa's house playing on the beach with their boats.
Tromping in the water.

Sprinklers
The beginning of today was the kind of day that I hate to subject the boys to. Sitting in the car and running errands for the entire morning and beginning of the afternoon is no fun for a kid so when we got home I wanted to let them burn off some energy and have some fun by letting them run through the sprinklers (since it is HOT today anyways). The were excited to get going!
Jack jumped right in!
Running
Owen took a little longer to warm up to the idea. He was running near the sprinklers but not actually through them for awhile.
Jack was loving it!
Eventually Owen got into it and started running everywhere!
Having fun!
Taking a rest in the grass.
Owensey.
No idea what this face is for.
Or this one.
I told Jack to stand here and wait for the sprinkler to get him without moving.
He was excited!
So Owen decided to join in.
They waited so well...
but Owen couldn't take it anymore and jumped in while Jack just let the water spray him!
Action shot!

Jack Meets Baby Marty
Earlier this evening my cousin Heather stopped by Grandma and Grandpa's house with baby Marty. Jack surprised me by being very interested and excited about meeting the tiny baby. He immediately asked to hold him and it is hard to say no to that cutie so we obliged. Here he is with Grandma holding 13 day old Marty. Obviously he is excited!
Not entirely sure.
Getting excited again!
Checking out his fingers and toes!
Staring adoringly at Marty.
Sweetness all over the place!
Looking done but when we asked if he was done he kept saying no. He held him for a long time!
