The Park

Yesterday Aunt Sarah and Uncle Paul had us and Grandma and Grandpa over for a delicious dinner and to see all of the beautiful work they have done on their house (and let the boys try to mess it all up)! We also walked down the street to the park so the boys could burn off some energy. My camera died soon after we arrived but I got a few pictures of the boys climbing first.

We also took the opportunity to re-create something for Ella that Uncle Paul made for Jack and Owen a few years ago.

Kick and Wiggle...Again!

This video is another of Ella under her baby gym. She absolutely loves this thing. She gets so excited as you can see by how fast she kicks her legs! She also seems to be much more aware of her hands but still isn't sure how to control them so she just flails them around hoping to hit something. Occasionally she will see it and try to get a good look at it but usually ends up hitting herself in the eye! Oops! My next task is to try to get video of Ella rolling over. She has been rolling from belly to back since she was about 3 weeks old but it is very unpredictable. The boys would roll over right away once they figured out how because they didn't like being on their bellies. Ella seems much more content on her belly so you never know when she will roll over. Hopefully she will do it soon when I have the camera rolling!

Doing a Project

Before school this morning Jack and Owen wanted to do a "pwoject". Jack wanted to use scissors and I figured he could use the practice and we could take the opportunity to teach Owen how to use scissors as well. They colored some pieces of paper and then cut them up and thought that was a great project! Here they are hard at work.
Owen sticks his tongue out when he concentrates and it is the cutest thing!
Working hard. I have no idea why they felt the need to do this project in their underwear.
 Owen working on his cutting.
 He was SOO excited!
 Coloring.
 Check out that tongue!
This is just so funny to me.

Meanwhile Ella got some practice with holding her head up. Big girl! She makes me smile!!!

The Rest of the Weekend

Even aside from Ella's Baptism we had a busy weekend! Uncle CJ and Aunt Sarah flew in from Atlanta for a visit and to attend the baptism so we spent Saturday hanging out with them which included a trip to the apple orchard (which I didn't get pictures of) and a lot of playing. Here is Uncle CJ reading a brand new scary book to the boys.

We also had a bonus visit from Missy, Jake, Nancy and Jane. They came to meet baby Ella and Jake got to play with Jack and Owen for a little while. Here is Missy holding Ella and introducing her to Jake. He seemed smitten!

When we got home tonight we were all exhausted after a very long day...all except Ella that is. She was ready to play! She spent the late part of tonight showing off her new found skill. She started off a bit timid.
Then it happened. She started lifting her head up on her belly!
All the way up! She wanted to see the new toy Aunt Sarah and Uncle CJ gave her as part of her baptism gift. I think she likes it! She is getting so strong!

A Few Wedding Pictures

Aunt Sarah and Uncle CJ were here to visit this weekend and they brought with them the professional pictures from their wedding. Here are a few of the Crossett Cuties!

Ella's Baptism

Today we celebrated Ella's Baptism with our families by going to church and having a luncheon afterwards. It was a lovely day and a great celebration. Thank you all for joining us and making it so special! Here is Ella with her dress on before church.
 Getting Excited!

It was a little cold out today so she needed to wear her little sweater.
Mommy and Ella in her room.
Grandma and Ella at church before the service.
Owen was unsure about the whole ordeal.
Getting ready for her big moment!
 Ella is officially Baptized.
The closest we could get to a family picture. Ugh!
 The Crossett family.
The Larson family missing our Becky. We were thinking about her today and wishing she could join us. We are all excited for her to start this new chapter of her life!
Grandpa Pete and Grandma Nancy with their Grand babies.
Grandma Lila and Grandpa Terry with the kiddos.
 Mommy and Ella after church.
A couple cute pictures of Daddy and Ella.

Ella got some lovely gifts from everyone. We were testing out these pajamas while she slept!
Opening gifts. Clearly Mommy does not agree that what happens at Grandma's should stay at Grandmas!
Aunt Theresa playing with the boys. They were having so much fun playing this game (whatever it was!).
