Atlanta

The kids had Thursday and Friday off last week for winter break so we decided to head down to Atlanta to visit Aunt Sarah, Uncle CJ and Baby Barnum. After a LONG drive Wednesday night (into the wee hours of Thursday morning) we were ready to start a fun vacation. Thursday we headed to check out the Atlanta Zoo with Aunt Sarah. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day to spend walking around in the fresh air and seeing all of the cool animals. Here are the kids, Daddy and Aunt Sarah getting ready to head into the Zoo.
The boys checking out the flamingos.
 Daddy and Ella.
 Jack looking at the lions.
Ella pointing at the lion and saying "ROOOOAAAAR"
 So fascinated.
 Pointing at everything.
 My little lions.

Aunt Sarah and Ella on the gorilla...conveniently next to the sign that says not to go on the gorilla.
 Looking at some more animals.

 Komodo Dragon!
The panda bears. Ever since this Ella has been calling Otis a panda.

Playing in the play area at the zoo park.

 Back at the lions...
These pictures are not cooperating and staying in the correct order so these next few are from the park on Saturday but they keep sneaking back into the zoo pictures.

 Back to the zoo park...

Here are Owen then Jack hanging out at CJ and Sarah's apartment.

On Friday we went to the Aquarium and gave the kids a chance to check out all the cool sea life. This is us looking at the shark petting tank. Ella wanted IN.

 Fish watching.

Checking out the dolphins before the dolphin show.

 Ready to see the show!
The big aquarium. This was their favorite part!

Saturday we went to Stone Mountain to take the Summit Skyride to the top of the mountain....and it was closed due to high wind.  So, here is a picture of the carving in the side of the mountain we were supposed to go up!
After we left the mountain we headed to the playground area of the park so the kids could run and play before the long drive home. It was so nice to get outside and enjoy the fresh air!

We had a great trip (despite the long drive) and can't wait for another opportunity to visit!
