A Few Randoms

Here are a few random pictures from the past few weeks. They boys made some neat Halloween snacks with Grandma Nancy at the beach house last weekend. Here is Jack with his banana ghosts.
Owen with his pumpkin orange. They also made Frankenstein pudding and some jello worms! Fun stuff!
Ella had Halloween costume day at dance this week so she got to dress up!
Ella with her friends Renae at dance.

And one from my phone of the boys getting ready for school on picture day!

Owen's Field Trip

Yesterday was Owen's class field trip to Mitchell's Pumpkin Patch. When the kids got to school they had a few minutes to work before we left. Here is Owen at his seat.
Above his seat is this pumpkin project he made
The kids at the carpet getting instructions for the day.

On the bus. It started snowing just before we left but it stopped quickly. I have a knack for horrible field trip weather!
 Outside the giant pumpkin tent!
Inside learning about what we were going to do that day.
Getting ready to get on the hay ride.

 Checking out the farm.

Going through the corn maze to get to the pumpkin patch.
 Owen picked his pumpkin!

Inside the tent, Farmer Mitchell taught the kids about being a farmer and then made popcorn in his big black kettle.
The kids loved when the popcorn started flying out!

I love that face. Such a sweet kiddo!
Getting a chance to play before heading back to school

One class shot before we went back to the bus. Owen is in a double class this year. 45 kids and 2 teachers in a double sized classroom. You would think it would be chaos but it seems to be working very well! As a bonus....LOTS of friends!
One with his teachers, Mrs. Gesaman and Mrs. Barcey. We LOVE these ladies!

Ella's Field Trip

Last week Ella had her first Preschool field trip to Indian Springs Nature Center. We were scheduled to go on a nature hike in the 40 degree rain...WOOHOO! We got lots of clothes and out boots on and headed to the nature center. Here is Ella ready to get started.
Before the hike the kids learned about the parts of a tree. Ella's friend, Ava, volunteered to get turned into a tree :)

 Out on our rainy hike!

We headed back in to make leaf books after we learned about and found different types of leaves on our hike

Then the kids headed down to the glass dome under the pond to check out the fish. Here is Ella with her friends!
