A Few More Pictures

Jack has decided that he can't go anywhere without carrying his lunchbox (we took a picnic lunch to the park last week in it and that was when the love affair started) and his backpack (which has his Easter candy in it). He looks like a kid going to school most of the time.

Here is his awesome bruise from the baseball bat incident. I should have taken a picture 2 days ago when it was dark (it is light yellow and hard to see now) but you can see how big it is over his left eye and still dark on the actual eye lid. Yuck.

Offline

I am on blog hiatus because my computer is not functional in the Internet department. Here are a few pictures while I am plugged in!
Owen on his little chair nodding off.
Up and happy.
Jack doing some work on his laptop.
Jack after he got hit in the head with a baseball bat...eating his ice instead of putting it on his head.
The birds in the nest outside our neighbors house. They are super tiny!

Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday evening we had an Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Watching the video back I sort of feel bad because Jack seems to be a little overloaded. I think he had fun...I hope!
Here he is grabbing some eggs.

Checking out the contents.
Owen in his own world.
Jack looking for more eggs.
Owen taking his egg to Aunt Sarah.
Owen doing more hunting.
TWO eggs.
More egg hunting fun.
Later inside Owen tried on Grandpa's hat with Aunt Sarah and Uncle Paul.
Aunt Sarah tried it too and Jack thought that was funny!
So Jack tried it too!

Then it was Owen's turn again!

Happy Easter!

We had a busy day today but I only uploaded pictures and videos from the morning so this post will only cover that! This morning we woke up and Jack had to find his Easter basket and eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny tried to make this a simple task so it didn't take hours. Here are a few examples of the "hiding" places.

Jack was THRILLED with the concept (we weren't sure he would get it) and he stumbled upon his basket while looking for eggs. He didn't realize what it was when he found it!

After he found his goodies he took his bounty and hid in his room with it so no one could steal it. We found him like this.

Owen didn't care about any of this. He just wanted to eat some breakfast!
We spend the afternoon at Grandma and Grandpa's house with Aunt Becky, Uncle Paul and Aunt Sarah (and Otis) so I will have pictures of that tomorrow!

Easter Greetings from Jack!

Bunny Train

Today we met Aunt Becky, Grandma and Grandpa out in Charlotte to go on the Bunny Train. Jack has been talking about this for weeks so we were really excited to go. Here is Jack with Aunt Becky while we waited for the train to show up.
It was chilly so he borrowed Aunt Becky's hat.
Silly.
Here comes the train!
Owen and Daddy while the train pulls in.

Grandma and Grandpa join us as we get ready to board the train.

Jack's face when we started moving was priceless!
Grandma and Owen checking out the scenery.
Jack knew the Easter Bunny was going to bring him candy and he really wanted an egg so he felt an obligation to pose for this picture even though he was obviously a bit nervous. Later he asked the Easter Bunny "You bring me candy?"
Owen was checking out the Easter Bunny...
But he didn't get the memo about the candy so he didn't see any reason to pretend to like this guy.
Jack on the train ride.
Owen likes sitting on tables and he does it so often we don't even notice anymore!
This picture ended up kind of neat because you can see Jack's reflection in the window. They are looking out the front of the train because you could see the tracks (we were actually going in reverse at this point).
Jack checking it out as we pull back into the station.
Later that day we went to the playground at the Elementary school where Daddy, Mommy and Aunt Becky all went and Aunt Becky taught Jack how to spider swing. This set of pictures is one of my favorites of all time.

Leading up to the best picture ever!

Pre-Easter Festivities

We have been doing some activities to get ready for the Easter holiday this week. Today we made a bunny cake. This consisted of me making a bunny cake and Jack sticking jelly beans all over it. He was proud of the result.

Owen was amazed.

You can tell he is smiling by the cheeks.

Beautiful.

Here is Jack and Daddy coloring Easter eggs.

Concentration.

Checking out where the egg went.

With his egg bounty.

That is one proud egg dying kiddo.

Takes after his father.

Here are some unrelated videos. Owen showing off his counting skills.
Our afternoon dance party yesterday complete with Owen driving the truck like a maniac.
More dance party with Jack showing off his snapping skills.
Owen driving around two flashlight trucks at a time. It amazes me how fast he can crawl/run in that position.
