Baseball Begins!

Owen started baseball practice about a month ago and finally had his first game on Saturday. He was so excited to wear his new Raptors uniform!!! Here he is before the big game!

Warming up before the game got started.
A little team conference to discuss tactics against the tough defense they were facing. Or maybe talking about what kind of ice cream they were going to get after the game. Your guess is as good as mine!
Practice swinging in the on deck circle. Intense.
 Batter Up!
Tongue out for superior concentration. Nice hit buddy!
Tongue is still out...possibly for balance...I have no idea. He takes after his mother. I did the same thing when I played softball.
Coming in to score at home!
 Carefully tagging home plate.
 Phew! Tough work!!!
Out in the field playing short stop.
He looks really excited about this!
The team did really well for a group of 3 and 4 year olds...for one inning. They got rained out after that but it was hard work so we went out to lunch after the game to celebrate the start of the season with both Grandma's and Grandpa's. Lucky kiddo! Hopefully the weather cooperates for the rest of the season!

Jack will be playing t-ball in a different league starting in June so we can look forward to more excitement from the Crossett Cutie Athletics Department!

Watch out for the raptors! I love him sitting on the bench with those other kids.
