A Day in the Park!

It was a really beautiful day today so I took the boys to the park for awhile. Jack loves this park because they have this area called the "Tot Lot" where everything is just his size! It is the same place we go to the Spay and Play so when we got there he immediately started saying "Big Sprinklers". I didn't think he would realize it was the same place since they are in totally different areas but he did. He forgot that was what he wanted once I brought him to the play structure. He had a blast! Owen even got in on the action by taking a ride on the swing!

Owen discovered the tunnel today and I think he liked it!

Getting Caught Up!!!

We have been busy the past few days so it is time to get caught up! On Saturday I met Grandma and Grandpa with the boys at Jeepers. Jeepers is similar to Chuck-E-Cheese except they also have rides. Jack loved it of course and it made for a fun Birthday since his party isn't until next week.

Jack and I on the airplane ride. They are actually bananas but he thought they were airplanes.

The boys both got colds so we spent some time at home yesterday. Here they are playing together. Jack was showing Owen the stacking stars.
Owen has gotten good at standing up and he does it all the time now. He is getting stronger every day!
Jack had some ice cream...not sure if he ate more or got more on his face and the table.
Neil got home from Germany today (thank goodness!) so we spend this evening hanging out with Daddy at home but earlier in the day Jack went in for his two year check-up. The doctor said everything looks great and he is right on track. He weighs almost 27 pounds now (Owen is catching up fast!) and he had the pleasure of getting his flu shot. Lucky guy!
Here is Owen getting ready to stand up using the table

Jack learned to play peek-a-boo this weekend (or peek-e-boo if you ask him) and I think it is hilarious

Jack is really into parking everything. He loves to see other things park (airplanes, helicopters, cars, tractors, etc.) and he has to park all of his toys with wheels when he is done with them.

Jack learned to open doors so he goes in the pantry to get the Swifer out and cleans my floors all the time. He is also obsessed with the balloon that was stuck on the ceiling. This video is a bit random but he was being funny.

Jack also randomly likes to clean. I walked in the kitchen to find him cleaning the counter the other day. For some reason he hates when I ask him how old he is and he keeps ignoring me and he throws a mini tantrum about cupcakes during the video but other than that it is a funny video.

Happy Birthday Jack!!!!!

It was two years ago from right now that I was sitting in a hospital room with no idea how my life was about to change! The past two years have flown by and my tiny 5 pound 11 ounce baby is now a walking, talking little boy. He amazes me every day and shows me just how much you can love another person. I put together this slide of pictures from the last two years. It is a bit long but I hope you enjoy it!

Fun Morning!

This morning Grandma Lila and I took the boys to the Library for Baby Play Time. The group is for 0-24 month old babies so both boys could go and they get to play with puzzles, books and stuffed animals with other little kids and then there is singing and instrument time. Jack liked it and Owen LOVED it. After we left the library we went to Grandmas for a play date with Aiden, who is 3 months younger than Jack. Here are some pictures from Grandma's house.

Trying to get a picture of the boys. Owen was a bit excited about it!

A little better but slouching
Owen wouldn't look but Jack liked it
Better but still no smiles from Owen
No smiles here from Owen either
Oh well!

Owensey

I don't know why Jack started calling Owen, "Owensey" but he did and it stuck. It was a really busy day for Jack today but somehow I have all pictures and video of Owen so I will just have to write about Jack! We had Jacks first playgroup with some kids from the surrounding neighborhoods this morning. My Aunt Theresa watched Owen so I could supervise Jack while he learned to play with the other kids. There were 8 kids under two there so it was crazy! He had fun and wore himself out! We left the playgroup and dropped Owen off with Grandma and Grandpa so I could take Jack to get his stitches out. He did really well and his lip is healed up very nicely. I was impressed with how fast it went! We spent the remainder of the day with Grandma and Grandpa playing and enjoying the nice weather. Owen had a chance to do a lot of playing today without Jack stealing his stuff. I got some pictures of Owen being cute. He is very interested in the camera because the lens cap swings from a string when I use it so he is always attacking it now. I also got a video of him crawling and standing.

Owen is a fast crawler now and he keeps me running all day!

I got the end of Owen standing up on video today. I missed the part where he got up on his knees but I was lucky just to get this!
