Pink Eye Anyone?

Well, to add insult to (already sick) injury, Owen and I both have pink eye! Lucky us! Apparently my upper respiratory infection spouted this off and I spread it to Owen so we went to Urgent Care today to get some eye drops. Here is Owen snoozing with his tush in the air prior to the trip.
We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house after the visit and their neighbor was having a party because they have family in town for their sons wedding (that Neil went to last night). They had quite a party going including this bounce house with a slide. Jack is a chicken and never went down the slide but he sat at the top and thought about it for a long time!

Sparks in the Park

Today was a fun day despite the fact that my never ending cold is really starting to wear on me. We spent the day relaxing around the house. Here are the boys in Owen's room. Owen loves to snuggle his pillow!
Here is Owen on the zebra.
This evening Daddy had to go to a wedding so I took the boys to Sparks in the Park. Before the fireworks we wandered around to check everything out. They had lots of inflatables like a bounce house and maze and lots of yummy food. I gave Owen a popsicle and this is what he looked like....
Then he tried it and looked even less sure...
Eventually he did like it. It just took sort of awhile (this is not that time!).
I also got Jack a popsicle. Here he is checking it out.
Giving it a try.
The one thing that can make it better....an elephant ear that is bigger than your head...by a lot!
Here they are enjoying their popsicles while I arranged our blanket in the grass.
They got some balloons which both ended up either destroyed or somewhere far in the sky.
Jack hugging his balloon string.
Owen thought it was great that he could shake his arm and the balloon would move around.
Hanging on the blanket.
Owen pointing out some things I might have missed like the band playing. It was a good set up. They were entertained until the fireworks got started!
Owen showing us the fireworks once they started. This picture is good considering that is my lap that Owen is laying on and I am the one taking the picture!
Enjoying the show!

New Flower Pictures...

They look totally different today so here are updated shots!

Name That Flower!!!

Alright, so I am not known for my incredible gardening skills (primarily because I have none). I just plant what I think looks pretty and do my best to make it grow. I am lucky because we have great growing conditions so my plants are all extremely healthy. My biggest problem is I have no idea what anything is so after I plant them and forget the names 10 minutes later I am lost. I planted a TON of bulbs this year in the spring (160 to be exact!) and they are starting to flower! People keep asking what they are and I have no idea so I am looking for help! Jack absolutely LOVES to water the garden with me and I tried to take pictures of him doing it yesterday but my camera battery died in a big way after these pictures. Here are the ones I got pictures of so let me know what they are if you know!

The Pool Tour

Today the heat was rather unbearable as the temperature touched 95 degrees (I believe it is still in the mid 80's despite it being the middle of the night) so we went on a pool tour. First, I purchased a "kiddie pool" for the front yard to play in for the first part of the day. Here is the kids...wait...no, that's Neil in the kiddie pool!

Jack joining in on the fun.

Daddy and Jack hanging out together.

Having fun in the pool.

Relaxing on a chair in the pool.

My boys relaxing in the sun.

Owen woke up from his nap and joined in on the action.

"Water, water, water"

The next pool stop of the day was the Wave Pool. This is the kiddie section of the pool where we spent some of the time hanging out. They also have a big wave pool, a tube slide, and a body slide. FUN!

Daddy and Owen testing the waters.

The boys playing in the water.

Owen walking in the shallow waters of the kiddie pool.

Owen yelling and totally freaking out. He was unbelievably excited. Seriously. You would not believe how excited he got. He was screaming and running around like a crazy man.

Jack practicing his swimming skills.

Getting brave and going on his back!

A nice cool ice cream cone on a hot day...not much better than that!

The final stop on the pool tour was Eric and Gina's house. Here are the boys getting in the water.

Jack trying out the floaty.

Neil with his babies.

Swimming around.
Jack was impressed with the "jump board".
Couldn't get enough of that thing!
Swimming.
Back in the floaty.
Owen liked playing with Eric!
Here are a few videos of Jack on the diving board.

The boys were really exhausted tonight so I am looking forward to a long night sleep and good naps tomorrow!
