Last night we let Owen open his Birthday gift from us since he had such a crummy week and we had no idea when we would get to having his party. Jack was way more into it than Owen!

On to the unhappy stuff...We received some horrible news earlier in the week. A very dear friend of the Crossett family and also an old friend of Aunt Becky, Britt Sommerfield passed away far too young at the age of 26. We have all been in shock over this tragedy and can't quite believe that Britt is gone. She was an incredible person and we were certainly lucky to know her. She will be missed by many.
Tonight we went to pay our respects to Britt's family which meant dressing the boys up in their Sunday best.
Cute babies aside it was a difficult night that put the hard week we had in perspective. I believe Britt's father, Dean, put it best when he told Neil and I simply "enjoy every minute with them". That is what I intend to do.
